Lodi, California..District 11 Moralex Farm. This gregarious grape variety has taken the wine world by storm and is by far the number one red variety in Australia. Its soft and supple texture coupled with the unmistakable white pepper spice make this wine unique. Depending on the aging of this wine you will see leather and tobacco tones after 2-3 years in the bottle. Tempranillo From Merced, California... District 12, Merced Acres. This Spanish "Noble" grape is the dominant varietal used in Spanish Rioja production. While typically blended with other varieties (i.e. Grenache, Merlot, Cab Sauv) to improve color and acidity, California has seen a recent surge in single varietal wine production using this grape. Zinfandel "Old Vine" Diekman Estate, District 11, Lodi, Morales Farm Management.Considered now to be indigenous to California, this variety produces deep colored, high alcohol and spicy toned wines. Famous for its jammy and plum fruit aromas this Zin, as it is affectionately called, will give great length on the palate and will age very well.
